Final
Major Championships of Year for Tweedvale Pipe Band.
Tweedvale Pipe Band travelled west before the crack of dawn last Saturday 30 August to participate in the last
major pipe band championships of the year at the Cowal Highland Gathering, the self-styled “biggest highland games in
the world”. An even earlier departure time than last year was necessary due to the band playing at 9.45am, thus making
an early ferry a necessity to allow the band enough time to prepare. Click here to read more.

Disappointment at World Championships for Tweedvale Pipe Band
Tweedvale Pipe Band travelled west on Saturday 16 August to perform at the World Pipe Band Championships held on Glasgow
Green. The band put in what they thought was a good performance of their March Strathspey and Reel set, but it didn't catch
the ear of the judges and the end result was disappointing. For more details, click here.
