WHO/WHAT DO YOU MOST ADMIRE IN THE PIPE
BAND WORLD: The dedication and committment shown by players to their craft. Also the people working tirelessly behind the
scenes doing fundraising, providing transport etc to ensure the band can concentrate on playing.
WHO/WHAT DO YOU LEAST ADMIRE IN THE PIPE
BAND WORLD: Some aspects of officialdom are hard to swallow.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CONTEST: innerleithen
and Peebles. Bathgate is always a good day out as well.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO ACHIEVE WITH THE
BAND: To progress through the grades.
WHAT OTHER MUSIC/BANDS DO YOU LISTEN
TO: Just about anything: Scottish Irish, Classical Pop, Country Swing etc. I particularly like the Battlefield Band and Capercaillie.
I've also got a soft spot for Robbie Williams.
FAVOURITE MEMORY(S) WITH THE BAND: Winning
the Grade 4B Champion of Champions Drum Corps as a side drummer in 2002. Also as a native of Peebles, playing in the Beltane
Retreat was special.
MOST MEMORABLE TRIP(S) WITH THE BAND:
Baasroode (Belgium) 2002, European Championships in Belgium in 2003, Ireland 2004 and 2005.
